Metron
From June 2nd Until July 11th
Artists Diane Jones-Parry and Annabel Ralphs reveal underlying connections between industrial, domestic and everyday activities.
They look at the personal and universal experience of measure, the science of laundry, the mathematics of folding, and at the chemistry, structure and processes involved in the production of ultramarine.
It is a route through art and industrial archaeology that connects semi-precious stones, renaissance Madonnas, Aboriginal artefacts, reckitts, or laundry blue for 'whitening whites' and the optical nature of colour.
