Inside the Brain
“Scribing the Soul” uses images of the brain. But how are such images obtained? And what do they show?
Dr Liz Parvin, a medical physicist from the Open University, will explain how CT and MRI scanners create images like these, and show how they help scientists investigate what is going on inside the brain. And Susan Aldworth will explore how she has used medical imaging techniques to develop the images in our exhibition.
