Making the links

We can best encourage the pursuit of science and enterprise by making connections between high tech businesses or researchers and the people who visit Science Oxford Live or attend our outreach events at schools and in the community.

Making connections between high tech business education and wider society is a new and innovative approach, which, to date, is unique to Science Oxford.

It might seem to some that education, enterprise and public engagement are strange bedfellows. We could not disagree more. Today’s students will become tomorrow’s innovators, and today’s visitors to Science Oxford might become entrepreneurs themselves or may be the parents or friends of future researchers or business leaders.

By positioning ourselves as a “bridge” between these three communities, and by working to ensure that we are viewed as an organization which actively partners with others we will become an even more useful contributor to the cultural and economic future of Oxfordshire.
